William
P. (Bill) Sitter, Owner:
Bill owns the firm and manages the San Antonio,
Texas office which also serves as headquarters
for JSA. His broad equipment industry experience
and accomplishments have prepared him to serve
our clients well. Eight years with major
equipment manufacturers in the US, Europe, and
the Middle East, including management positions,
are blended with seventeen years of dealer
senior management experience in Texas and the
Midwest. Manufacturer titles include: National
Sales Manager, National Account Sales, Product
Manager, District Representative Overseas, and
Area Manager. |
While
in dealer management, Bill served as a charter member of
two dealer councils, officer of a Midwestern AED
Chapter, and President of the San Antonio AED.
Applicable
dealer management experience was gained from positions
of Branch Manager, Director of Marketing, and President
and Chief Operating Officer of a major AED Distributor.
Bill
has had management responsibilities for a wide spectrum
of new, used and rental equipment including:
Caterpillar, Komatsu, Dresser, concrete and asphalt
pavers, crushing and screening, compaction, forklifts,
cranes, pumps, trailers, concrete plants, excavators,
conveyors, engines, compressors, drills, industrial
equipment, plus attachments, recycling and maintenance
items.
Bill
reached the rank of Captain in the U.S. Infantry, has a
degree in economics and business, and at the age of 50,
finished at the top of his MBA class. The Institute of
Certified Professional Managers awarded him their
highest status of Certified Manager. He married his
college sweetheart and they have been blessed with two
children - now grown.

Christopher
W. (Chris) Sitter, Vice
President:
Chris joined JSA in January of 1997 and
established a fully functioning research
activity for the firm. In conjunction with AED,
he developed and implemented Jordan-Sitter's
first website. By mid 1998, Chris assumed full
Associate status and became involved in all
phases of the firm's business activities. Chris
was promoted to Vice President in April, 2002.
Chris
gained his first exposure to the construction
equipment industry when his father was in senior
management with an AED distributor. His first
trade show was CONEXPO 1981 in Houston. In
recent years, Chris and Bill have been actively
involved in several industry shows and meetings. |
He
holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Luther
College, with considerable emphasis on business and
management. Over 15 years of computer and technology
experience has proven very beneficial to the firm.
Chris
and Bill Sitter first teamed up in the 1970's to win
their State father-son tennis doubles championship.
Today, they use synergy and teamwork to successfully
satisfy the needs of our equipment distributor and
manufacturer clients.
Joseph
L. (Joe) Jordan, Founder
and Lifetime Advisor
In 1978, after 28 years of industry experience, Joe
Jordan founded the executive search firm of J.L. Jordan
Associates to exclusively serve the equipment industry
worldwide. In 1990, Bill Sitter purchased the firm, and
it became Jordan-Sitter Associates.
In
1996, Joe was honored to be named "Founder and
Lifetime Advisor". He resides in Dallas and is not
involved in the firm's daily activities. However, his
counsel and involvement in special projects adds great
value to JSA.

We
are excited about the long-term future of the markets we
serve and have invested substantially in our personal
development and in new technology to positively position
our firm for the future.
The
firm began as J.L. Jordan Associates in Dallas, founded
in 1978 by Joe Jordan. Joe has a strong equipment
industry background, having served in senior management
with an AED distributor and a major manufacturer.
Bill
Sitter purchased the firm on Aug. 17th, 1990, and
moved the headquarters to San Antonio. Joe Jordan
remained as an Associate for six years. He is now
retired and holds our official title of "Founder
and Lifetime Advisor." The relationship between
Bill and Joe has been most unique: built on mutual
respect, a love for the industry, and friendship. Joe
has often expressed how proud he is that our firm has
progressed and has built an even stronger reputation in
the equipment industry.
Bill
Sitter has a very unique industry perspective. He
started with Caterpillar in Peoria, then Geneva, and
finally in Teheran. Served in management with
International Harvester. Joined a sizable Midwestern AED
distributor, and progressed from Headquarters Branch
Manager to President and COO. Bill later led two
different AED distributor operations in Texas. Along the
way, he served as an AED local chapter officer in Iowa
and as President of the San Antonio chapter. Bill
completed his Army Infantry service as Captain. At age
50, he was awarded his MBA as a 4.0 student with top
class honors. In the last 11 years, Bill has authored
several articles dealing with human resource topics
which impact our industry and he has presented seminars
for AED and other major trade groups across the U.S. and
Mexico.
Associate
Chris Sitter joined JSA in 1997 and has
made a tremendous impact on the firms technical and
research capabilities. He is currently involved in
every phase of the business, and has been a regular at
industry trade shows. He holds a BA degree in
Economics. Chris is definitely no newcomer to the
equipment industry, having participated in the 1981
CONEXPO.
Associate
Linda Klekar joined the firm when Bill purchased
it in 1990 and she has played a key role in our growth
ever since. Many who have called JSA have enjoyed
getting to know Linda by phone. Recently, she has been
joining us on selected client visits and trade shows,
to include CONEXPO 2002. We have also been blessed
to have other part-time and full-time dedicated
Associates.
Our
vision statement indicates our commitment to honoring
Jesus Christ as evidenced by the Stewardship of
our Associates, by our Respect for our clients,
candidates and suppliers, through Excellence in our
efforts and communications, and by Profitably
conducting our business for the benefit of all, so we
can sow resources into Gods work. The firm provides

equipment distributors, equipment manufacturers, and

JSA
fills mid-level management to executive management
positions in a variety of disciplines (general
management, sales & marketing, product support,
financial, operations, manufacturing, and engineering)

industry: construction, mining, material handling, and
agricultural machinery. Our firm enjoys an excellent

Chris Sitter joined JSA over five years ago as an Associate specializing in technology and research. He has rapidly progressed handling responsibilities in all phases of this 24-year-old executive search firm. At a recent promotion dinner, Chris was elevated to the role of VP and will continue to work in all phases of the firms business.
